Privacy Policy — Ridium Community

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This policy covers the Ridium community forum. The Ridium application has its own Privacy Policy — this document only covers Forum data. Ridium is the data controller; the Forum runs on hosted Discourse provided by Civilized Discourse Construction Kit, Inc. (USA), which processes data on our behalf.

What we collect

  • Account data: username, email address, optional profile info (avatar, bio, location).
  • Content: your posts, messages, likes, and flags.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser information, and cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How it’s used

To operate the Forum: authentication, showing your posts, notifications and digest emails (configurable in your preferences), spam prevention, and moderation. We don’t sell your data and don’t use third-party advertising cookies.

Visibility

Posts and your profile are public and may be indexed by search engines. Private messages are visible to their recipients and, where required for moderation, to Forum staff.

Your rights

Under GDPR and Chilean Law 21.719 you can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Most of this is self-service in your profile (download your data, delete your account); for anything else contact support@ridium.app — we respond within 30 days.

Retention & security

Data is retained while your account is active. Deleted accounts are anonymized per Discourse’s standard process. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS); hosting and backups are managed by Discourse in the USA.
